There are several types of power kites available on the market. The two major forms of power kites are Leading Edge Inflatables or LEI kites and Foil Kites. Each type of kite has their own pros and cons and should be carefully considered before making any purchase.Leading edge inflatable kites are made from ripstop nylon with inflatable compartments that form the foil of the kite. The inflatable compartments are used to give the kite it’s shape and keep the kite afloat once dropped into the water. LEI kites are the most popular kites because of their sensitive responses to a rider’s movements as well as being able to be easily relaunched if they fall into the water.
